In 1974 Dale and Alvina Federwitz headed for Liberia, West Africa. They left the United States with two kids, Jonathan and Rebecca. While in Liberia David and Paul were added to the family.

Each of the children and their spouses have been called into overseas mission work. Now members of the Federwitz family work in Liberia, Ghana and Papua New Guinea.
